What’s All The ‘Hype’ About WheatGrass!

Well, apparently ‘wheatgrass’ ┬áprovides a great source of nutrients such as amino acids, chlorophyll, enzymes, vitamins and
minerals. Thus, a great long list of benefits, some of which are; curing acne and diminish surface scars, prevent tooth decay, reduce odor smells, improves digestions, and reduces high blood pressure.

Recently, I’ve had quite a few random people come up to me and mention ‘wheatgrass’ and ask my personal opinion on the substance.

My answer is ‘I don’t have a clue… I’ve never tried it?’

Well it’s time to play guinea pig… Last week I bought some wheatgrass powder. Yipeee!

First impressions… it doesn’t taste too bad considering it’s “wheatgrass”, however the mother seemed to disagree and nearly puked it back out. So for some people ‘pinching the nose and gulping it in one foul swoop’ may be the preferred method of consuming it. Yet, you can add it too many things, currently I’ve just added it to natural Greek yoghurt, which was a nice subtle touch to the flavouring and recommend to those who are not daily ‘protein/ juice’ takers.

I will be taking 10g of wheatgrass everyday for a month, so a follow up post will be up soon. (One hope’s this will improve my skin i.e. get rid of these god damn spots).
